RICHMOND, LONDON

Autumn is definitely here so is time to take out your winter coats, burberry scarf and hats ;) The weather changes dramatically so the colours of the trees, the light... and is kind of you want to spend more time at home. But because I work from home, I just wanna go out!! And one of the perfect places to go this time of the year is Richmond. A beautiful town just 40 minutes away from London and you can go by tube!! You will enjoy a nice walk by the river, its wonderful parks (if you are lucky you can see the deers in Richmond Park; is like a tale...). A coffee or a beer on the riverside would be just delightly. I recommend you to have Fish and Chips in the Quality Fish Restaurant on 11 King St. TW9 1ND and a romantic dinner in the cosy and nostalgic boat on the river "The Boat at Richmon Bridge". If you go for couple of days be sure you get a spa hotel. Just enjoy the walks, food, views, company and life ;)

El Otoño ha venido y dispuesto a no dar tregua, así que ya es hora de sacar los abrigos, la bufanda de Burberry y los gorros de lana. El tiempo ha cambiado dramaticamente al igual que los colores de los árboles, la luz... parece que apetece quedarse más tiempo en casa, pero como yo trabajo desde casa ¡¡sólo quiero estar fuera!! Y uno de los lugares perfectos para visitar en esta época del año es Richmond. A sólo 40 minutos de Londres y además se puede llegar en metro, no os decepcionarán sus paisajes y sus maravillosos parques. Pasear por las orillas del rio o simplemente tomar un café o una pinta es una delicia, y ver a los cervatillos en Richmond Park es como de cuento. Os recomiendo un Fish and Chips en Quality Fish Restaurant on 11 King St. TW9 1ND o una romántica cena en el entrañable "The Boat at Richmon Bridge" que es un barquito en el rio. Si vais de visita un par de dias no dudéis en coger un hotel con spa. Ya me contaréis qué tal la experiencia ;) Disfrutad de los paisajes, la comida y sobre todo de la compañía y la vida :)

SPANISH BOY IN PARIS

Couple of weeks ago I took myself to Paris for a little bit of inspiration and even though it was rainning mostly of the time, I have to say Paris looked gorgeous :)

Just walking around is enougth: seeing the parisians smoking and having a coffee on the terraces of the cafes, the cozy boutiques, the decadents coffe shops, the imposing and Baroque buildings...

A perfect plan for a perfect day would start at the Arc de Triomphe, then walk down The Champs Élysées and stop for a delectable breakfast at Ladurée; keep walking down and you will find the Avenue Montaigne where you can have a beautiful walk and dream just seeing the windows of the maisons: Chanel, Dior, Marni... From there a nice walk to the Jardin des Tuileries and then a little bit of shopping at Rue Saint-Honoré. Have a nice lunch in any place around the Opéra and after that just let yourself to get lost in Le Marais where infinite coffee shops, little clothing shops and old and recovered building will keep you busy trying to save as much as you can in your retina ;) You have to go to Gallerie de Montpensier and Place des Vosges which has reteined all the splendor of the days of Henry IV´s reign.

Another places to get lost in are the Latin Quarter where you would love the class of the people around the Boulevard Saint-Germain (specially the young ones) and a coffee in the charming cafe Le Flore where Picasso or Hemingway used to catch up with other intellectuals. Very close are The islands with the Cathédrale  Notre-Dame. Montmartre is just stunning. I think is the most decadent place ever :)

A couple of days can be enough to get an idea about how beautiful Paris is but of course if you can stay longer, do it!! Perfect to visit with someone but even on your own will be an amazing experience. Enjoy it!!

Ahh!! And you have to go for dinner to Café Charlot on the 38 Rue de Bretagne, beautiful place, environment and food ;)

Hace un par de semanas me di el capricho de irme a París en busca de inspiración. De los tres días que estuve, dos de ellos llovía sin parar, lo cual le daba aún más encanto a la ciudad :)

El simple hecho de andar por París ya es estimulante y te hace soñar con tanta belleza allá donde vayas: los elegantes parisinos fumando y tomando café en las terrazas, los imponentes y barrocos edificios, las boutiques...

Un plan perfecto para mi es empezar el día en el Arco del Triunfo y de ahí bajar por los Campos Eliseos hasta Ladurée para tomar un delicioso desayuno y unos macarons ;) seguir bajando hasta Avenue Montigne y dejar volar la mente viendo los escaparates de las maravillosas maisons: Chanel, Dior, Marni... De ahí a los Jardines de Tullerías y entonces unas compras por la Rue Saint-Honoré. Almorzar por cualquier sitio de la Opéra es buena idea, y de ahí a perderse por el encantador barrio de Le Marais... preciosos cafés, tiendas y edificios recuperados os esperan en este barrio que os mantendrá bien ocupados intentando guardar todo lo que podáis en vuestra retina ;) Visita obligada en esta zona es Gallerie de Montpensier y Place des Vosges en la que aún se respira el esplendor del reinado de Enrique IV.

Otros barrios en los que merece la pena perderse caminando son el Barrio Latino con el Boulevard de Saint-Germain donde alternan los jóvenes más elegantes de París y donde podréis disfrutar de un maravilloso café au lait en el cafe Le Flore, donde Picasso o Hemingway solían reunirse con un nutrido grupo de intelectuales de la época. Muy cerca están Las islas donde se levanta suntuosa la Catedral de Notre Dame.

Y Montmartre es uno de los sitios más decadentes que he visto nunca...

Un par de días puede ser suficiente para descubrir algunas maravillas de París, aunque si contáis con más días, genial ;)

Ahh!!!! Buen sitio para cenar es el Café Charlot en el 38 Rue de Bretagne: bonito, parisino, cool y buena comida y cocktails ;)
